UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
On Thursday, May 9th, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Ascension, one of the major feast days of the year. To that end, a celebration of Holy Eucharist will be offered at 5:30 PM.
Join us at the 10am service on Sunday, May 12th where we will recognize our students and graduates! If you or your child is graduating from high school/university, please let us know so that we can include you/them in our celebrations that morning.
Sunday, May 19th is the Day of Pentecost, which is often referred to as the birthday of the church. We would like to encourage everyone to wear red, yellow, or orange to represent “the tongues of fire” that appeared as the gathered disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. We will have 12 cakes (for the 12 months of the year) in the Parish Hall following the 10 o’clock service. All attending will stand around the table of their birth month as we sing Happy Birthday to the Church. Then we will celebrate with cake, punch, and lemonade.

RECURRING ACTIVITIES
Boys Choir of Springfield (BCS) is a TUITION FREE, auditioned ensemble of boys, grades 3-12, with exceptional vocal talent. Positive role models lead the boys within this challenging musical environment in order to develop each member’s talent as well as to help them grow spiritually and personally. Membership in BCS is not limited by social status, race, or economics. As an organization, boys share their gifts in a variety of venues that encourage others to become involved in our community through the power of music.
Grief Support is a group for members of Christ Church in which members are encouraged to gather for support on their grief journey, whatever that may be. After each meeting, we encourage those attending to join us for lunch afterward. Grief Support meets on the second and fourth Wednesday at 11:00 AM each month in the library.
Boys Choir of Springfield (BCS) is a TUITION FREE, auditioned ensemble of boys, grades 3-12, with exceptional vocal talent. Positive role models lead the boys within this challenging musical environment in order to develop each member’s talent as well as to help them grow spiritually and personally. Membership in BCS is not limited by social status, race, or economics. As an organization, boys share their gifts in a variety of venues that encourage others to become involved in our community through the power of music.
