"Sowing Seeds: Planting and Tending Your Christian Fromation Ministries" will be the theme of this event. Open to all, this workshop will be of particular interest to those who are involved in Christain Education and formation ministries with children and youth.
Presentations will include how to choose a curriculum and developing a lesson plan with whatever materials or programs a church is using. Faith development theories will be examined through spirituality practices that can be used in the classroom or worship. This event will be an opportunity to train your Church School teachers for the coming year. The day will begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 3:30 pm with a commissioning for teachers.
Sharon Ely Pearson is Church Publishing's Christian Formation Specialist. Previously, for ten years, she served as Children's Ministries and Christian Education Coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut. With over 30 years experience in Christian Formation at the parish, diocesan, provincial, and church wide level, she is recognized for her knowledge of curriculum for children, youth and adults as well as her passion for holistic life long learning.
